Just to elaborate on the comment I made today, basically in my opinion, I think college radio stations shouldn't be concerned first and foremost with obscurity. Rather, we should be concerned more so with content (though "good music taste" is pretty subjective). I think it's such an advantage to be able to play a variety of genres, as opposed to, for example, a pop station that is restricted by the top 40 list.

You spin me right round--rotation!

Drumroll please--introducing...the Puget Sound! Today, I decided to just play songs from cds on rotation, as well as local music. No, I was not merely lazy. Rather, I was just upholding the universal standard & responsiblity of radio stations--promoting new, local music (can I get an AMEN?!). With that said...

1. Ponytail - Beg Waves
2. These United States - West Won
3. Brazilian Girls - St. Petersburg*
4. Your Heart Breaks - Slow Rolling Hills
5. Smile Smile - Waving the White Flag
6. Adventure - Civilization
7. Stereolab - Neon Beanbag*
8. Dance Positive - Put me back
9. Art & Ransom - Burning Bags, not Books*
10. Secret Machines - Atomic Heels
11. Jupiter One - Countdown
12. One for the Team - Best Supporting Actor
13. Shugo Tokumara - Future Umbrella*
14. Jenny Lewis - Trying My Best to Love You
15. Art & Ransom - We Couldn't Even Believe What We Saw
16. Shugo Tokumara - La La Radio*

* = highly recommended (especially Mr. Shugo Tokumara)
